GAMIFITIVITY:

INCOPORATING GAMIFICATION WITH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY!

A design project that uses gamification to tackle the lack of physical activity(P.A) amongst children, aged 12-18 years old in Singapore—by engaging and motivating them to increase their P.A throughout their daily routine.

 

<More about Gamifitivity:

Gamifitivity explores the reasons behind the lack of physical activity (PA) amongst Singaporean children, in order to propose an easily accessible and engaging gamification tool. Thereafter, encouraging children to engage in more P.A, as well as to shift the existing negative perceptions of P.A.

Some negative perceptions of P.A include:

• Feeling that P.A is too tiring

• Feeling that P.A is not fun and in fact, stressful and difficult

• Assosciating P.A with health and not for leisure

(Data was gathered from surveys and interviews conducted)
